One more, not CEC, but definitely notable. The City of Pasadena has just opened a site with 20 CCS/Chademo 50kw chargers and 24 Superchargers. It is supposed to be the largest DCFC site in the US. Now we're talking.

Per PlugShare:
  • DCFC: $0.10/kWh + $0.25/Min
  • L2: $0.20/kWh + $0.55/Min

.55/min for L2? Holy crap!

You are mistaken. The ChargePoint app shows the following:

DCFC: $0.25/kwh + $0.10/min
L2: $0.20/kWh + $0.55/hour

When I looked at the Plugshare this morning there was no price info. I added the above fees.

The above was a cut-n-paste from the PlugShare app, so it's the PlugShare app that's got it wrong.

It is, however, correct today :) Whew!

Looks like the EA site in Willows along I-5 has finally gone live. This closes the last big gap on the way up to Oregon and beyond.

The CEC funded EVgo site at the Black Bear Diner in Willows, CA is also open now. Two 50kW BTC Slim chargers, just like the ones installed in Williams, CA.

The CEC funded EVgo site in Woodland also opened last month.

The CEC funded ChargePoint site in Lakehead-Lakeshore is finally active in the ChargePoint app. This is the final site to open along the I-5 corridor in ChargePoint's 15-601 CEC grant.

Plugshare - Basshole Brews, Lakehead-Lakeshore, CA

In the 15-601 grant, EVgo still has 3 more sites to open (3 completed) and EV Connect still has 8 more to open (3 completed). Recargo failed to open any of their 15-601 sites along the 101 corridor before they were issued a stop-work order by the CEC for non-performance.

There are many more CEC funded sites coming that were part of the later 15-603 grant. In that grant group, Chargepoint has completed 19 sites and has 34 more sites remaining.

The Electrify America site in Barstow looks like it might be open. The EA site has marked it as live and it is also live on Plugshare. Usually EA posts to Plugshare as well, but that hasn't happened. Surprised any progress is being made, considering the current situation.

If this is actually open, then Las Vegas is now a very easy trip (once we're free to move around again).

Today, March 31, 2020, EA posted on the Plugshare listing that it is open.

The CEC funded EVgo site in Orland is now open. Four 50kW dual standard chargers and a dual 7.2kW L2 station.

Plugshare - Berry Patch Restaurant, Orland, CA

The CEC funded EVgo site in Yuba City is also open. Two 50kW dual standard chargers and a dual 7.2kW L2 station.

Plugshare - PetsMart Center, Yuba City, CA

This leaves only one more EVgo site left in their CEC grant - Corning, CA

EVconnect is not so far along with their grant sites. However, they did open one more. Two dual standard DCFCs and a dual head L2 station. Plugshare indicates the CCS is 350kW and CHAdeMO is 50kW.
