Does anyone know if insurance rates for a RAV4 EV are different than the rates for a ICE RAV4?


My insurance company did not have different rates for the EV which I thought was odd....but I am not complaining!

They probably don't know what it is. It might be a trim level change. I had that issue with the Nissan LEAF, when they quoted me $360.

The next six month renewal was over $800 when they "figured it out". I think I only paid about $300-$400 for the Rav4 EV, but that's no guarantee what it will be in a year.
