Hello,

Do you know if the free charger is still available with the electric vehicle. I heard in the past that customer who bight first Tuesday of the month got the free charger.

Appreciate your help.

There was a California Energy Commission program that did so, but it ended earlier this year.

You're looking for an EVSE, NOT a charger. The charger's on-board the car. See http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14728&p=332668#p332668.

The aforementioned program is over: http://evsolutions.avinc.com/products/cec/cec_program_overview.

There is a new program that is part of a Sub-Metering trial. You can get a free* EVSE that will have its own rate plan separate from your house, without changing anything with your existing utility meter. This trial is only open to California residents and the unit will only work when it has an active WiFi connection. Eligibility will probably also depend on who your utility provider is. PG&E is definitely supported. I don't know which others will be.

* Free after rebates that may take a substantial amount of time to receive. Also, the amount of time required to get approved for the trial is not known.

Also, eMotorWerks is not the only participating station provider. There are others, that is just the link I found first.
