Hi, new member with a newbie question. I just joined and was hoping I could get any information available on the following VIN:

2T3YL4DV9EW002405

According to the CARFAX it has a clean title and was shipped from CA in 2017 to North Carolina.

It seems to be a fair price and has a JdeMO DFDC adapter already installed.

Curious if the previous owner is on the Forum, whether or not the recalls have been done, and most importantly, if it has had the motor replaced yet?

Any information that can be provided or guidance on how to figure these questions out will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Someone on here created a database of VIN #s and information. I've not been involved past logging my car a few years back, but if you search, you may find it and get more info for your VIN. Also, Toyota service should be able to provide a service history for the car based on the VIN, and you can find out if recalls are done, DU replaced, etc.

I just checked the Owner's List and 2405 was never entered. A dealership should be able to look up the service history. You could also try the Toyota Owner's web site since it also includes service history, but I don't recall what if any owner verification there is before you can see the service history.

Date of first use is 12/13/1013. All three recall campaigns have been completed.

This vehicle has 12 entries for diagnostics checks at Longo Toyota in CA, from 12/2013 - 3/2017. There is a diagnostics check entry on 10/30/2017 at Fred Anderson Toyota in Asheville, NC, with no error codes found. I do not see any records indicating if the drive motor has been replaced or not.

Hope this helps-

Thanks to all for the comments, very helpful. The deal is done and I’m currently driving back to the greater Raleigh area. I made it to Charlotte and this is my first use of the JedMO at an EVgo Charger. Working flawlessly.

You mind sharing what you paid for it?

I paid $16K before taxes, title, and other fees. I feel like it was a good deal considering it already had the JdeMo installed and that I could drive it home instead of shipping it cross country.

Still trying to figure out the connect options. I assume that there is an option for checking on the status of charge, start/stop charge, etc via phone?
I saw the reviews of Entune and they were less than stellar. Any third party options?

Curious if anyone on the Forums has purchased a platinum extended warranty in NC and if so, who their contact was?

Thanks again for all of the support from the group!
