I've always wondered exactly how many Rav4EVs are outside of CA.

I found this article online...
Data Shows Tesla Dominates New York EV Market
http://dccargeek.com/data-shows-tesla-dominates-new-york-ev-market/
It states that Tesla vehicles make up 51% of all electric passenger vehicles registered in the State of New York.

The article pointed to a database that has all the registration data for New York (Cars, Boats, Snowmobiles, etc).
There are 11,132,551 total records. I found 86 Toyotas. I think all but 4 are Plug in Prius'. There were 4 Rav4EVs listed. Jimbos is not here (probably registered before this database was exported. Here is the information below (this is publicly available data).

Type Vin Registration City State Zip County Model year Make Body Type Fuel Type Weight Reg valid Reg expires Color
VEH 2T3YL4DV4CW SRF WEBSTER NY 14580 MONROE 2012 TOYOT SUBN ELECTRIC 4030 6/12/2013 5/23/2015 WH
VEH 2T3YL4DV5DW PAS CARLE PLACE NY 11514 NASSAU 2013 TOYOT SUBN ELECTRIC 4045 11/26/2013 11/25/2015 GY
VEH 2T3YL4DV8EW PAS GLEN COVE NY 11542 NASSAU 2014 TOYOT SUBN ELECTRIC 3692 2/20/2015 2/28/2017 WH
VEH 2T3YL4DV9CW RGL LAKE PLACID NY 12946 ESSEX 2012 TOYOT SUBN ELECTRIC 4032 10/15/2014 10/14/2016 BL

So 2 of the 5 owners are active on myrav4ev. I wonder if similar percentages hold for other states.

Only 535 Nissan LEAFs registered in New York? I wonder if some are hiding under different registration names or something which caused the author of that blog to miss them. Either that or the type of people that would buy a LEAF in New York take public transit instead and have no need for a personal car.

I looked and get even fewer if I sort by vins that look like leafs. I would not be surprised if they are really low. I have only seen 3 in the wild here. I see a lot more volts and teslas.

In New York city people may not need cars as much and when they do it's for longer trips out of town. I'm on the other side of the state and things are spread out here. The Rav4 gives me the range to do 99% of my normal driving. I think the leaf would be more like 90%.
