Hi,

So with all the rain coming down in L.A. so often now I see an increasing number of large pools of water or rivers at intersections and other oh so convenient places.

How safe is dunking the rav4 ev into these rivers and pools as we need to pass? Since the tesla battery is bolted on the bottom the first thing dunking in is it!

Should I be worried? I have been mainly avoiding these pools but at this rate it might become impossible eventually. Even for a tall standing SUV these things can come up as high as the lowest point of the chassis at which point the battery is already underwater.

The HV battery is pretty well sealed, but it's not designed to withstand submersion. I recommend avoiding water that may be deeper than 8-10 inches.
