Had playoff tickets to see Cards at Dodger Stadium in the NLCS Tues night and Wed afternoon.
Distance to the stadium = 60.5 miles (roundtrip 121 miles)

I said what the heck - let's try taking the Rav4 EV  . So I did an extended charge prior to each trip.
I accomplished both trips easily with about 15 miles remaining on my range both times.

It seems sitting in traffic helps the range quite a bit. True?
It seems the Extended Charge doesn't really add much over the standard charge. True?

I almost didn't take the Rav4 the second trip because I thought it might be bad luck for the Dodgers - fortunately they overcame the mojo and dominated the Cards with 4 home runs on Wednesday.

Yes, driving in traffic lowers your average speed, so you should get better efficiency. That is, as long as you don't jackrabbit with the other cars and just use B mode to drive with one pedal.
The extended charge adds about 7 kWh, which is usually 20-25 miles extra.
