Just had my scheduled 5000 miles, which is mostly visual inspection and tire rotation.
In and Out in 1 hr and 15 minutes.
Unfortunately, my steering wheel is a little off, NOT CENTER.

I quickly went back to the service department to report it.
I got the excuse that tire rotation won't mess up the alignment.
To prove my point, i asked a test drive, and a mechanic drove the RAV with me.

He confirmed my suspicion, BUT still insisted it could have been there before.
AND since it's under warranty, wheel alignment is FREE.

THE CAtch is i have to bring it back.

Anyone else encoutered this?
I have a lot of tire rotation done with the other cars and never had this problem.
My gut tells me something happened when they were doing the tire rotation.

Anyway, another appointment to the shop.

Updates:

Back at the service department.
wheel alignment ( warranty repair) was done, which corrected the problem.

No firmware updates were done. (from my 5,000 mile service)
Service advisor says, everything is up to date. NO bulletin as well.

i took delivery of the RAV4 EV, Aug 28, 2013.
So, if you lease/purchased your EV at a later date, and you're coming for a 5000 mile service.
They'll won't be doing a lot of work, Tire rotation and checking of tire pressure. That's it!

So ask yourself, if it's worth your time, even though it's a FREE service ( up to 25,000 mile).

The guy is a moron, I just had my firmware updated

See evbuddy's post

my car is fixed.

Firmware updated to 1.3.76 (TSB 11/21/13) from 1.3.62. ECU SW update -> Charging system Improvements.

need to see how this will work.
