Selling my used Rav here: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/4688784777.html

What are you replacing it with? That's a solid price on a car that's limited and no longer in production.

I'll be using my own two legs and pedal to work. Looking forward to the exercise.

Hi guys,

I am in Maryland and have had my RAV since last summer. It has been great, I have not had a single issue with the car.

It has just over 12,000 miles on it. I am about to start a new job and my wife and I will be commuting to work together.

I am looking to see if anyone is interested in my RAV4 EV. I am looking to sell it in the low $30k range. Let me know if you are interested or know anyone who is interested. I have the car on a lease and have a little over a year and a half to go on the lease.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric,

Would you consider having someone takeover your lease?

What are your existing lease terms? I am brand new to the board. Not sure if it is possible to PM on this board...

Thanks,

Dale

RAV4 EVs must be starting to come off lease! I count 10 today on autotrader. Some are rather ambitiously priced, heh.

One interesting one is at Carmax--theoretically one could transfer this to any Carmax throughout the US. The transfer fee is sometimes waived for certain cars and markets (e.g. sending 4x4 vehicles to Colorado is free since they will sell there, period) but is usually $300-700, or cheaper than regular shipping, in other words.

On the other side, Carmax is not the cheapest and there's no haggling, for better or worse.

I am very familiar with the car. I sold it to him summer 2013 when we could lease them out of state. It's blue.

I'm wondering why this one is located in MD (someone went out of their way to get one in MD, but then sold it?). I wish my 2013 LEAF had a better resale value, or I would trade it in right away for this vehicle. So close, yet so far away...

Anyone familiar with this VIN? 2T3YL4DV5DW001847

18 used RAV4 EVs on Autotrader currently!

Price range is from $29k to $50k (! for a used one! ridiculous given the sundry tax credits no doubt already claimed).

Carmax has 3 currently, probably with overlap in the Autotrader listings, for $33k, $35k, $36k respectively.

I also called up and asked how much an extended warranty would be on one of these RAV4 EVs. The guy might have entered the info for a non-EV, but he quoted me $1,100 for 5 years from purchase, 75k miles. If this is true then it's a good deal on paper.

It's a typo. Real price is $32k http://www.kearnypearsonford.com/san-diego-used-cars/detail/2013-Toyota-RAV4/1148/2T3YL4DV7DW002126/~/VehicleType_~Make_Toyota~Model_RAV4~Year_~Price1_~Mileage_~EPAHighway_~TransmissionGeneric_~ExteriorColor_/1

Here's a non-typo one with any luck:

$30k, blue, 17k miles.

I keep getting an error in my browser on my PC when I click on the provided link.
This is the one that I found that works on my desktop (did a search for "rav4 ev"

I called that particular dealer a couple weeks back. They've had the car on the lot for over 150 days, but are not willing to sell at a loss. The$ 29,999 price only applies if you sign up for their 4.9% financing which is ridiculous and a first. Cash price is $2k higher.

In the end I purchased a blue '13 with 9400 miles for 31K. It gets delivered this weekend to my Chicagoland residence.

I've been checking the used inventory daily for the past month. There's not much turnover.

That's disappointing about that "$30k" one.

It amazes me that there are used cars listed at $45-50k. At a worse deal than MSRP ex tax credit, who exactly do they expect to step up and buy them?

Someone out of state who was not able to buy a new one. I could see a perfect Rav ev sell for $40k.

It doesn't matter if the original buyer got tax credits. It's supply and demand.

$40k for a perfect one, maybe. $50k doesn't make any sense.

Also, as you may have noticed, there is not a robust market for these. Even well priced used ones linger for several weeks.
