How fast would this charge a RAV, as compared to a 6-kW L2?

Thanks,

It depends how many amps a Tesla charging station and set for. They are capable of 12 through 80 amp settings.

Assuming a charge station is capable of 40 A or greater, then your RAV4 will charge at 40 amps. (208 volt * 40 amps = 8.3kW)

Public J1772 charge stations are generally restricted to 30 amps worldwide (208 volt * 30 amps = 6.2kW)

Most commercial power in the US is 120 volt / 208 volt, while most residential power is 120 volt / 240 volt.

Any updates on the status of the JDapter? It's been a while since I have heard anything.

I have to ask again. Are there any updates on the Jdapter? I'm still interested in it if it is being made.

What's the availability of the JDapter Stub? Is it being produced or is it still in the prototype/design state? It looks like the list price has gone up to $399 as well. I'm guessing the cost to create a custom injection molded plastic adapter was too high.

JDapter "Stub" is the interim product. It is hand built, and the cost reflects that.

We are out-of-stock as of today, but we will have more next week or so. You can order now and it will ship when stocked.

I was taking a look at the picture of the JDapter stub and I was curious if there is any risk of the Tesla socket end striking the body of the RAV4 EV once the Tesla plug is inserted into it. The socket appears to be the same heavy duty aluminum housing end that is used on the JLONG which is fairly heavy. I'm concerned the aluminum housing might take paint off the body of my RAV4 EV if it hits it inadvertently. It's hard to tell from the picture though.

The picture isn't entirely accurate. The Tesla inlet is solely made of plastic. It should not scratch anything.
