Costco TPMS replacement... now ABS/anti-skid warning lights on

I'd like to thank alflash and asavage for all their help. In addition to fixing my issue, I now have a fully dedicated laptop with TechStream and TPD with cables up and running. I'm an outlier with my 2012 with 70,000 miles. Zero issues in 14 years, other than codes thrown twice due to others...

Costco TPMS replacement... now ABS/anti-skid warning lights on

You are correct alflash. I borrowed a scan tool from local auto parts store. In sub-menu ABS, I cleared several fault codes, but C1345 will not clear. "Linear Solenoid Valve Offset Learning Undone". It requires re-calibration via a better scan tool... i.e. Xtool or Autel. After speaking to...

Costco TPMS replacement... now ABS/anti-skid warning lights on

Yesterday Costco rotated tires and replaced one TPMS sensor. Now the ABS and Anti-skid warnings are illuminated. They said the lights should go away after driving. I know this is true for the TPMS/low tire pressure light, but ABS is still on. Battery is new. I disconnected the 12v. No help. I...

Fix it, or part it out?

Thanks for the reply. Things are looking up. The insurance company says my "bride" has an "accident forgiveness" available. So no premium increase. Also if they total loss the claim I can buy back the car, with a salvage title, and do as I like with it. The irony in it all.... the car is going...

Fix it, or part it out?

A similar "end of life" question. My wife destroyed the passenger side of my Rav4 EV 2012 "4GETOIL" with 57,000 miles last week. I'm truly heart broken. In the past I've always said "I look forward to cannibalizing the batteries someday when it gets totaled" Now I'm facing that reality. I'm...

Yes... That's the guy I spoke to also. Very helpful and professional. Bent his ear for a half hour on the phone about out of state service issues.

ALL POSTS - Heater Failed - Service Bulletin TSB 0111-14

Last Winter a heater core shorted and the diode fried on a Rav up here in Seattle. Toyota arranged, on a case-by-case basis, for repair at a local shop. That fiasco was documented here on the forum somewhere. I had all the part numbers and several trouble-shooting guidelines from past Toyota...

EVs Blamed for California Road Deterioration

Yes... I agree. All should pay. The Washington state tax is $100 per yr. added to our annual licensing fee. But oddly, the state EV sales tax exemption giveth, and the state road tax taketh away... and our roads still suck.

How many people have had zero problems with their Rav EV?

Zero problems, 16K miles, out of state, original firmware ;)

Studded Snow Tires… The Ultimate Range Destroyer

Talking snow tires in July? Ok.... While the big snows never materialized, I still mounted and dismounted them 3 times over the winter. My guess is about 3-5% range loss due to tires alone. Of course that is in addition to the cumulative effects of Winter battery draining facts. Colder battery...

    30A vs. 40A charger

Go big if you can. Future proof your home EVSE. I bought this same CS-60 from this ebay seller last year. Great price, like new. The cord is very stiff... but other than that it's very nice. I should take my own advice and buy a 2nd unit, replace my old fire hazard Blink.

    Out of State service

Just got off the phone with Kevin Spillane, Toyota Customer rep for the Rav4EV. We had a long discussion on out-of-state servicing, and what Toyota will do for us, and what they won't do for us. It breaks down to 3 scenarios. 1) "Toyota Customer Care"... 5K 10K checkups etc. Not covered outside...
