Bay Area repair shop that can still work on RAV4EV?

Yes, my Lic ends in 071. Leff has the part. I will buy it and go back to Earthling Auto for them to switch out the converter. Fingers crossed. Then I need to sell my EV since I'm not a DIY mechanic type.

Bay Area repair shop that can still work on RAV4EV?

Earthling Automotive in San Francisco was able to run the diagnostics on my 2013 Rav4 EV last week April 24, 2024. Hopefully they can run them on your car too. Patrice

SF Area East Bay Rav4 EV 2013 for SALE

I finally have to part with my favorite ride: my Blizzard Pearl Rav4 EV! I am not one to build or repair EVs. Now my EV is starting to need more attention. It drives. It has about 92K miles. It got the new paint from the recall. It has had regular maintenance for 10 years at approximately 6...

2013 Rav4 EV for sale in SF Bay Area

I have loved driving in this vehicle. I never found a fitting "sequel" in this price range. I am not a do-it-yourself person. I keep encountrring Toyota service reps who want to charge me for checking oil changes, fuel tank gasket, radiator core, exhaust system, fuel lines and other things that...

What can I do at home if I got the Check EV System error?

I also got: "Check EV. Have dealer examine vehicle immediately." On Sunday 10-16-16 I drove ev from driveway across street for tow truck. Media screen wouldn't display anything and backup camera did not come on when I backed up. Dealer said diagnostics show needs: new separation/hybrid valve...

    PG&E eliminates E-7 rate plan effective March 1 2016

Here is the link to the EV rates: http://pge.com/tariffs/ERS.SHTML#ERS The pge solar dept. told me to call pge building and renovation dept. at 877 743 7782. The helpful person there gave me the url for the ev rates. I signed up for the ev rates on the phone immediately. Off peak rates...

    PG&E eliminates E-7 rate plan effective March 1 2016

OK. I will remind them that I have an EV. PG&E required me to wait for their inspection of my neighborhood electric infrastructure before I could install my home EVSE. However, that PG&E department may not be relaying information to any other PG&E department. So I will request the EV rate. I...

    PG&E eliminates E-7 rate plan effective March 1 2016

Thanks, Miimura! I was certainly reading the E-TOU option A chart incorrectly. My usage will be in tier 2 and the costs per kWh will be between 22 and 35 cents each. The formula for calculating Option A TOU customer costs is confusing to me: (Advice Letter 4769 page 14) "Total bundled...

    PG&E eliminates E-7 rate plan effective March 1 2016

Thanks arnolddeleon and miimura! PG&E does not make it easy to compare outcomes between the rates for E-TOU A or B or E-6. I just looked at the tables, picked my region:T and looked at the columns under Code H for All-Electric Quantities since I have electric heating. E-TOU option A tier...

    PG&E eliminates E-7 rate plan effective March 1 2016

[=Equote="arnolddeleon"]You probably want to E-6 at least in the short term.. It will close to new enrollments on March 1, 2016. The rates for ETOU-A and ETOU-B are not available yet so you can't do a proper comparison. There is a chance that EV-A will be better. In short run a rate...

    PG&E eliminates E-7 rate plan effective March 1 2016

Zap! There goes another great electric rate plan. PG&E will eliminate the E-7 rate plan effective March 1, 2016. Looks like I will choose E-TOU until 2022. Everybody has a slightly different situation. I have solar panels that were installed in 2002 when E 7 was in effect. I opted out of a...

Have any Rav4EV folks Driven Leaf with 107 miles range?

My lease ends Sept. 2016. I consider getting a longer range vehicle as a next EV. But do they have powerful, smooth acceleration with freeway driving without a huge decrease in range? Is their range 107 miles per charge and more with hyper-miling techniques? Reliability and affordability are...
