    It's my turn, getting "Check EV System" warning message. The vehicle was purchased November 11, 2012 and is now 56176 miles. From viewing this forum, the problem may be one of these: Thermal ECU, 12V battery, Battery Coolant Pump, Battery pack. Question: Would it still be under warranty?

    My Rav technician told me that the early 2012 production Rav4EVs have defective heaters. He is the designated tech for all the EVs. He services my 2002 and 2012 Rav4EVs. Therefore, he paid a lot of attention to EV failures.

    I never had a need to put the heater in MAX so I don't know. I will try it today and report back. When I put it in HI LO setting, with the driver seat bun warmer on, it's between 200-300 watts.

    The Tesla engineers were at Toyota Palo Alto when I picked up my 2nd Rav. I don't know which car they were looking at. The service department open today (Saturday). You should call your service adviser to see whether they were looking at your EV.

    I highly recommend calling the 800# to open a case. My DC2DC converter was on a month back order. I called Toyota (the 800#) and open a case. Two days later, my part arrives. I was able to get my Rav back within a week instead of a month.
