Hi all,
I've had my Rav4 since January and have been loving it.
Yesterday when I got in to go home from work it wouldn't start, just says Check EV System.
I have tried jumping it, so it seems to not be the 12v battery. I tried disconnecting it and reconnecting it as well. I left the 12v battery disconnected overnight to see if it would do anything but that didn't help.
So my question is: Is there any way a can try to diagnose this myself? I haven't yet check with Reno Toyota to see if they'll take a look or not yet, and I'm not looking forward to towing it to Auburn which is the closest dealership that the Toyota website says will service the EV. So I'd really like to be able to find out if there's anything else I can look at and maybe fix myself.
