We return our Rav this week. 80,000 miles, battery fade is evident. On second motor which also whines, but we didn't bother to have it replaced a second time.

Replacement is a Bolt...50% more range and lease payment is 2/3 what we have been paying for the Rav. No longer need the unlimited miles, 15K/year will be plenty.

We got a 3 year/80K mile Toyota warranty on this car, I cannot imagine taking the risk of owning one without the warranty. I wouldn't want to keep the car even one month beyond warranty expiration so it goes back promptly.

It's been a good car, very comfortable, but it is dated.

It sounds like you got your money's worth!

Of course, we don't even know all the future issues with a Bolt EV.

We will be returning ours in a few weeks, as well. We've only put 37k miles on it but it's showing its age in terms of interior wear. We will miss the capacity of the CUV form-factor; there are no other pure-ev options out there that remotely match the ability to haul all the stuff we'd schlep to our girls' soccer games each weekend. The diminutive Bolt and Tesla Model 3 are not comparable options, IMHO.

We won't miss it, but we're not sore, either: the low lease price - especially when factoring in the gas savings - made it a very economical option. Too bad we didn't drive enough to capitalize on the unlimited mileage on the lease we were provided.

Will be looking for a viable alternative that isn't a compact car. We did the Leaf for 3 years; it was way too small. Maybe a plug-in hybrid? If they can figure out the recall issues, that Chyrsler Pacifica could be interesting...
