The difference is that the Rav4ev (in VERY small numbers) was almost the only factory built EV available when demand for EV's was building with Tesla, GM, and Nissan all talking about bringing out an EV. If you wanted to drive electric, and did not want to DIY, then this was about the only...
LiFePO4 have better life expectancy that the other chemistries (LiCo and LiMn varients), but with this it has less energy density, but it does have better power density. Interesting tradeoffs when selecting battery chemistrys for EV's. For safety and life expectancy, I chose to put LiFe into...
They seem to be tweaking the incentives in such a way as to get the 150/month they need to sell out "just in time". You can see that when they started with the big incentives in January/February they got a bump, then things lagged when they were removed, then the big incentives came and you see...
I don't want to sound nitpicky, but when using J1772 you are ALWAYS using the same charger. The charger is onboard the car. You are using different EVSE (or for a better term "charge station"). It bugs me because there are a lot of new folks who think that the EVSE is a charger and it is...
There is a service center in Norristown....not sure how far that is from the poster.

If it is driving distance, they guys there might get a kick out of seeing the RAV4 with the Tesla internals. Might get some help, but might also just turn you...
The current deal is still good to the end of the day. I suspect it is going down since they are waiting for this one to expire before updating. The last two updates were increases and they changed the notice a day or two ahead of time (before the previous deal expired).
This thread also makes me wonder why it is taking so long for Tesla to enable the charge timer function in the Model S. It is something that they promised, and it should be easy to implement on their touchscreen, but so far has not been included in any of the updates. Perhaps Toyota tried to...
I do like the size of the sticker you have in the window above the fuel door, but I prefer the fonts for the lettering to match the licence plate frame shown by Tony W. I also like the Tesla "shield" you have on the fuel door but I'd put it in a different location.
seems like it was a bad weekend for meetups. Not sure why. I organized a nice meeting at a museum, and we got about half of our normal crowd when all we do is meet for lunch; and many of those were from the Tesla and DIY forums.
