Buying new tires...anyone done this already

4EVREV - What kind of pressure are you running in the Dueler Ecopia's? I picked them up a few weeks ago when Costco had them on sale. On my original tires (which had 45k on them), I was able to do on average 3.4 MpK (easily). Now, I'm fighting to do 3.0 - 3.1. I'm running 40lbs of pressure...

Tires - What alternatives would you recommend?

The RAV EV does not have run flats. You have a sealant can and tire inflator instead of a spare tire.

ALL POSTS - motor whine or "HUM" (Milling Sound)

Got my RAV back. :D Haven't had the opportunity completely run it through, but all seems significantly improved.

ALL POSTS - motor whine or "HUM" (Milling Sound)

Finally... My RAV is now in the shop having the motor/gearbox assembly replaced. My issue was diagnosed in October and we have been waiting all of this time for the assembly. Hopefully in a day or two I'll have a significantly quieter car. :D

ALL POSTS - motor whine or "HUM" (Milling Sound)

Today I am essentially at one month since opening the case with Toyota. I've had a couple conversations with the rep - they trend in the direction of "We're blaming Tesla, we have to wait, no update but will let you know when we do.". This is now 3 MONTHS since the hum was diagnosed at my...

ALL POSTS - motor whine or "HUM" (Milling Sound)

I'm still driving my RAV while waiting for the replacement. I did open the case with Toyota 800 yesterday and received a call earlier today. No action yet, but they wanted to advise me that my case has been handed to a specialist that deals with these type of issues (whatever that means)...

ALL POSTS - motor whine or "HUM" (Milling Sound)

For the folks that had the motor/gearbox replaced, how long did it take to receive the replacement parts? My RAV was diagnosed w/ the issue in October. The TAS case was opened at that time. I called my dealer today to get an update on the status of the replacement. He was told it would most...

    Dash trim rattle resolved

EVme - If it helps, here is the text from my repair order... Note the repair "kit" they used. (This was completed on April 4 and continues to be noise free). CUSTOMER REPORTS ~|~A SQUEAK TOP LEFT OF INSTRUMENT PANEL / BETWEEN DA SH PAD AND DASH TRIM ~|~FOUND INCORRECT CLEARANCE IN RETAINER...

    Dash trim rattle resolved

I had the exact same rattle in mine... was driving me absolutely crazy! Local dealer also applied a foam tape "kit" and have had no further issue with the rattle. Approximately 6 months now.

Good news... Toyota finally released an updated version of Entune for Android on September 20. The new version resolves the corrupted credentials issue... all is right with the world again.

Charging and Console behaviors - thoughts?

So I was finally able to witness/verify that the fan is indeed cycling during charging. Unlike EVBill (and like most in this forum), I have not installed an inline temp gauge so I had to resort to using an infrared/laser thermometer to get the temp from the coolant line. Since I'm measuring...

    Entune / Android 4.3

I don't disagree that the logout/login or the reboot option may work (although reboot still requires the credentials to be cleared), the issue is that you shouldn't have to. In other news, "Enrique" from Entune support called and left a message for me at home today. I find it irritating that...

Charging and Console behaviors - thoughts?

Thanks for the comments... Ampster - I do have confidence in the general Tesla design; however, as EVBill eludes, a sensor could always go bad or provide false readings. I don't have a temp gauge installed, but I'll use my infrared thermometer to keep a closer eye this weekend when I do some...

    Entune / Android 4.3

and mine is #1308161395 I have full device encryption on my phone, but not on my tablet. I had hoped the issue was attributable to the encryption, but found the application behavior to be the same when I sideloaded it on to my tablet. Coincidentally, Toyota released a new version of Entune...
