Rav4 EV for sale, POST HERE ONLY

Sad day but all things come to an end. I sold my 2010 Rav4 today. It is headed for Alaska. Really enjoyed it but moved and have no practical way to keep it charged. Good luck to all of you.

    Confused about Battery Degradation

Search here for the “Tony Test”. That will give you the state of the battery.

Rav4 EV for sale, POST HERE ONLY

Time to get serious on selling my Rav4 EV. I no longer have reliable access to charging so I am going to have to ask for Best Offer and take what I get. Given the prices being posted for California based Rav4 EVs, I am willing to deal a bit. Seattle Area 2012 Blizzard White 66K miles Curt Hitch...

    Warranty advice please

I purchased my Toyota Platinum Extended used car warranty through the Toyota dealership in Bozeman MT. There is a thread here with details on various dealers. I bought a used car warranty because my new car warranty expired while I was thinking of selling it. By the way, do you mind sharing...

    Salvage RAV4 EV

Or the OP could buy mine. Yes warranty, no Jademo. Would require importing to Canada but clean title, one owner and a couple thousand less. I would even get the door scratch fixed.

    Salvage RAV4 EV

Salvage is always a red flag but not necessarily a deal breaker. It depends on what was bent and how it was fixed. Reading these forums gives a very good listing of various issues with the car, but as usual distorts the picture to the negative. The vast majority do not have issues. The key...

Rav4 EV for sale, POST HERE ONLY

Thanks for passing it along. I am going to see if one of the local dealers is willing to trade straight across for Jeep Wrangler TJ Unlimited. But frankly I would rather sell it to someone in the EV community.

Rav4 EV for sale, POST HERE ONLY

Sadly I have to put my 2012 Blizzard White Rav4EV up for sale. After 6 years we have had no luck getting charging installed at my office. I am downsizing and moving to a Condo which is proving impossible to get a 220V power drop installed. I am looking to trade for a Jeep TJ Unlimted or $16K...

    TIRE RECOMMENDATIONS

As usual it depends. I put on the Michelin Defender LTXs because in the Seattle area we occasionally get difficult weather. February brought a foot of snow to my driveway. Also occasional trips to the mountains can incur difficult traction conditions. Yes, they cost a few percent in mileage...

Seattle area drivers: what range are you seeing this winter?

That is about what I get. The GOM really tells nothing about the battery state. Use the Tony test for that. But just to see how far you will go, yes Seattle in the winter is limited to about 90 miles.

Front end alignment out after hitting a curb

Definitely need to find another, reputable, shop. There is a good chance something is bent but swapping parts to see if it fixes the problem is not the solution. A decent shop can measure the angles and quickly find the bent part(s). and do get it fixed because you will quickly wear away your...

buy a used RAV4 EV or wait?

I also plan to keep mine. I looked very seriously at "upgrading" to a Tesla model 3 but it really would only be an upgrade in cost. I did a DU replacement under warranty and now have a Toyota platinum warranty. But really the only maintenance is check the fluids, floormats and rotate the tires...

RAV4 EV 12V drained dead, replaced, still problems HELP

Important to understand the warranty. If it is a Toyota warranty, folks around the country have been successfully getting service done at a local Toyota shops, with Toyota corporate support. If you only have a dealer warranty, from CA, then you would likely be stuck shipping.

    Toyota roadside is useless

And here is the bad news At least this was true a couple of years ago when I had it Toyota subcontracts the work to AAA. When I tried to use it, they eventually transferred me to AAA, who said they couldn't help. So by that time I had found a nearby charger, and the the car started up and had...

Buying a RAV4 EV in Seattle

Welcome to the Seattle mini-club. There is a Monroe, WA Automotive Research Event Happening over the next couple of weeks for anyone who owns a post 2011 EV in Seattle. They are still looking for volunteers. PM if you are interested.

Does headlight have a separate gasket?

While I have not removed a Rav4EV headlight, I did just repair that area of a Solara. The Rav4EV is stock Toyota except for the EV parts so I would be surprised if it were any different. So with that extrapolation I am pretty sure the Headlight assembly is a one piece unit that is glued...

    Buying a RAV in Canada

I will have to get some comparable listings to see what is reasonable. A quick look online shows the dealers in Seattle are asking $19K to $22K. The Model 3 deliveries have slipped so I am not too excited to let it go yet.

    Buying a RAV in Canada

I have a Tesla Model 3 coming and am not ready to go all electric so I am considering selling my Rav4 EV. 46,000 miles in good shape. Maybe we should talk?

In search of RAV4 EV with Jdemo upgrade

A thought would be to buy a good Rav4 without the JDEMO and then add it. I believe Tony is still offering the upgrade.

    Traction Battery Coolant System Leak

Actually they were separate, the $170 was just for the traction battery coolant. the motor coolant was done before, something like $130. And then of course the wheel shroud, that was another $115. "The EV tech could find no reason why the shroud let go. All the bolts were still in the fender...
