Upgrade to newest 48A (12kW) Model X/S on board charger?

Yes, but of course if you have access to public EVSE units that make it worth while. Anyone needing to charge that much faster at home has the wrong EV for their needs.

Upgrade to newest 48A (12kW) Model X/S on board charger?

The difference is so small why would you bother? It's a costly potential can of worms for a 20% increase in charge speed. Not to mention why do you need this extra speed for home charging? Is 1 hour going to really make a difference when you are already charging for 5.

It was a good run, but Model X has now replaced Rav4 EV

Actually it would be a horribly inefficient pig of an EV no one would buy. Conversions are not the way to go and Toyota would be stupid to make any of their present platforms in to an EV as they are far to heavy.

LEAF comparison / will the Model 3 affect resale of Rav4?

The RAV handling is no comparison to the LEAF.

ALL POSTS-No Motor Power/Power Steering, turned off on road

I would, the RAV EV is no reflection of Toyota. Incidentally Tesla and Toyota have a really sour relationship which prevents Toyota from getting proper and timely support on the RAV.

Will you tradein your RAV4 for a TESLA ≡?

I do know a few things about the car, some I can mention in very general terms. Many of the things on the E were better than the S and the car was getting nicer than the S so they had to reserve those improvements for future S models to not dilute the S. Expect early order order models to be...

ALL POSTS - motor whine or "HUM" (Milling Sound)

They should get some more to have more in circulation. Seems like really poor optics for an EV company to have motor issues on something as reliable as an induction motor. Quite pathetic if you ask me.

ALL POSTS - motor whine or "HUM" (Milling Sound)

That means they have massive issues or just one person doing these. I hope they hire a proper engineer to fix these issues for good.

Vehicle stayed in Reverse, though car indicated it was in D

I have to say they really vetted their software:)

To keep the RAV, or not keep the RAV, that's the question?

True the Volume is stupid on the RAV but your comment about the ELAF interface is the funniest I have heard ever, the LEAF infotainment system is the most cobbled together POS ever. The issues with your RAV fit and finish are very unusual and I can tell you the LEAF is far worse, I know I a have...

To keep the RAV, or not keep the RAV, that's the question?

True and my LEAF had so many fit and finish issues not to mention the wash off paint. I found more than 10 missing fasteners in places and man items never attached on the inside of the dash.

To keep the RAV, or not keep the RAV, that's the question?

The build quality on a RAV is superior to a LEAF by a big margin EXCEPT for any Tesla related parts. The LEAF is poorly constructed and painted, terrible fit and finish.

Sell now or at end of lease

Fixed it, quote and edit buttons are sometimes mixed up- Sorry.

Sell now or at end of lease

That does not put the title in your name and I was not aware a dealer will let you transfer title to another owner without first going to my name, is this not correct?

Sell now or at end of lease

How would that work? How can he transfer the sale, I thought it has to be sold to him first in which case he pays the taxes, etc.

Buying new tires...anyone done this already

I would be surprised if they are LRR if they are self sealing.

ALL POSTS - 12-volt battery replacement

That is normal to charge above 14V.

Why a hydrogen obsession for Toyota? Their mad coal plan?

They are taking advantage of incentives and playing the field. They are doing EV work as well and when it makes sense for them they will build full EVs. Toyota will never abandon anything that makes them a good profit. Clearly they have a long term strategy and they are great at the art of...

    Stuttering at 30-35 mph?

Such a well thought out service plan. This is why I won't buy a Toyota EV when they release one, which they most likely will do.

To keep the RAV, or not keep the RAV, that's the question?

I like the look of the I3 but I would never buy a overpriced BMW or want to deal with the many service issues. I was not impressed with it as an EV either.
