Change the 12 volt battery. Remove the old battery and get a new one while you turn in the old. This will give the computer a chance to go dark and reboot with a new battery with proper voltage. You may still end up with some trouble codes for the dealer to clear but that is the best shot...

Nope. Very poor support from the dealers mixed with Tesla friction, high cost of repairs, and not exactly reliable or easy to diagnose. Now if Tesla would make a RAV like vehicle direct that might go. Or if Toyota would make an EV direct it might work. Yes needs 250 minimum range.

I got grief from Carson Toyota that the Bosch battery was too large and the car could not keep it charged and that is the reason the 12v battery was going dead overnight. Just over $200 to pop in the miniature Toyota battery that was dead next morning. No sense in looking at the gateway...

Just use some jump cables to the second battery and let it rip. I believe the RAV can supply up to 80 amps at 14 volts or 1120 watts. If the inverter cuts out for low voltage just reduce the load or the duty cycle.

$5,400 list price is just crazy for this repair. This is the reason mine was traded in.

As the temperatures get cooler you may see less range. Mid temperatures of Fall and Spring give best range so don't be fooled by the seasons. Also degradation tends to slow with time. Not linear. Anyway what is to complain about if you still have the range....

If it fails badly just start disassembly and put the parts on ebay.

I would like to hear what inverter is to be used. Otherwise you should be able to get 600 to 800 watts off the 12v accessory battery with the vehicle in ready mode. Enough to run a medium fridge and tv.

So glad to hear there are some that do fairly well. I won't list my issues but to say I was very happy to trade it off for an I-Pace. Loved the RAV while it ran.
