Rav4 EV for sale, POST HERE ONLY

Returning my lease this week but will sell it if anyone is looking to purchase. I'm in the Bay Area near San Jose. White 2013 Rav4EV ~40K miles. Some battery degradation, averaging around 85 miles on the GOM but that may be because I drive fast with it. Never had any electrical problems and...

    I'm gonna miss this car

Well, I was using extended charge every day for half of my lease. My typical range on the GOM was around 100+ when I initially received it, and now it's 84. I drive pretty aggressively. So I say about 15% degradation over three years more or less. It was more a financial decision though.

    I'm gonna miss this car

I was down to about 84 miles on a standard charge. After a few more years of battery degradation it won't be worth it while the 200+ range cars come out costing a little bit more. If anything I would try to take over a lease and buy out a car with a lot fewer miles. The i3 price was too good to...

    I'm gonna miss this car

My lease ends on 9/1. I cannot justify paying another $20K to out right own it. I just leased a 2016 BMW i3 on a two year lease for about $2300 down and $110/month after taxes and fees. Frankly, the RavEV is a much better car. It drives better, is faster, is more comfortable, is roomier, and...

    Work Charging Policy

Early on we had an e-mail distribution list for EV owners. It's first come first serve in the morning, and when they are done with it, they unplug, move their car and let the next person on the list get the charger. Recently we deployed a waitlist where you tap your Chargepoint card onto the...

    Best Phone Dock/Holder for 2006 Rav4

Airframe by kenu, hands down the best. Pricier, but worth it

Is buying the RAV4 EV a good value decision?

You didn't include the $2500 state rebate. Your EV Charger costs are tax deductible. I calculated my unlimited mile lease costs to be $15K OTD after state rebate (I got a free EVSE). I assume you're talking about the Passat. Here's what you didn't talk about: 1. Cargo Space and leg room 2...

    Rav4 EV for Business Use

At this point I'm looking for a business case to capture the tax right off, it's a good deal if you can use it.

    Rav4 EV for Business Use

Anybody using the Standard Mile Tax Break of $0.56 / mile for using your car for business use? Comes out to $0.19 per mile savings for driving your car. If you have a free source of electricity, that's $19 per 100 miles driven. With cheap electricity it's probably around $14 per 100 miles.

How many people have had zero problems with their Rav EV?

19K+ miles on it in less than a year. Zero problems.

30 Amp or 40 Amp EVSE?

30amp is fast enough. My car charges in less than 5 hours from 0 to full on a 30 amp EVSE. Charging during the day is rare and even when you need to you won't need a full charge. Save your money.

My round trip commute is 80 highway miles. Will I make it?

You will make it. My commute is 90 miles. I've been driving this thing everyday to work. I'm closing in on 20K miles in less than a year. During the winter you may need to extend charge. Since I drive fast every day I've been extend charging every day for the last 7 months with little battery...

    Battery Degradation

I've been doing a full extend charge every day since mid-Jan. 100+ times. M-F I drive it about 100 miles a day. I've had the car since Sep 2013. I have about 16K miles on it. Probably lost about 5-6% battery since I got it. Pretty good considering I extend charge every day.

    30A vs. 40A charger

My Rav charges in less than 5 hours with the 30A. No need to go to 40 unless you need to charge on quick notice during the day.
