I got my RAV back. They didn't find anything. They dumped the log and the log showed there were incidents of charger failures with comment "Plug Related". I didn't get $charge$ for the $160 but am upset that they couldn't find the cause of the "Check EV system". As the RAV is only 3000+...

The Rav is at the Toyota Service now. They charged me $160 for the diagnosis regardless they find the problem or not. Is it normal?

It's my turn, getting "Check EV System" warning message. The vehicle was purchased November 11, 2012 and is now 56176 miles. From viewing this forum, the problem may be one of these: Thermal ECU, 12V battery, Battery Coolant Pump, Battery pack. Question: Would it still be under warranty?

I thought this incentive has expired Dec 31, 2013. Please let me know if this is not the case.

My Rav technician told me that the early 2012 production Rav4EVs have defective heaters. He is the designated tech for all the EVs. He services my 2002 and 2012 Rav4EVs. Therefore, he paid a lot of attention to EV failures.

I never had a need to put the heater in MAX so I don't know. I will try it today and report back. When I put it in HI LO setting, with the driver seat bun warmer on, it's between 200-300 watts.

I asked them to take a heater out from their new Rav4EV to put in mine and I was able to get my Rav back within a week (Monday dropped off, Tuesday filed a claim and request for taking out a heater from a new Rav), Wednesday the dealer got the message. Changed it on Thursday, got my Rav back on...

My Rav, after the fix, warm the cabin in two minutes in ECO HI mode. Aux power shows only 200-300 Watts used when the ECO HI heater is on.

The Tesla engineers were at Toyota Palo Alto when I picked up my 2nd Rav. I don't know which car they were looking at. The service department open today (Saturday). You should call your service adviser to see whether they were looking at your EV.
