Hi, I have the following errors.

BMS_f062 Contractor power supply
GTW_f085 Powertrain Firmware Version
GTW_d001 Powertrain Firmware Version

Now I got a parts motor (Tesla P85+ Sport) drive unit and took the inverter control board out. Hoping it can work in the rave 4 EV inverter as I damaged the Rav 4 EV inverter control board.

Now I see I can re-flash it. But the instructions are not clear. I have tried.... But the program just does nothing when I click the "firmware download to vehicle"

I think its because the contactors are not staying closed? When I turn the power on the contactors make their noise but I think its them closing then opening again right away. Would this make it NOT accept a firmware re-flash?

Am I wrong to think the sport control board would work to run this once its flashed?

I should add I got the Tesla TPD 1.1.46 But I don't have Toyota techstream.

Welcome!
You are operating in territory where few have gone. Only alflash and QC Charge (who no longer is on this forum, he now hides from his past in a private/gated FB group) could answer your questions from experience.

I believe that alflash ran into a situation with an OBC from a Model S that could not be flashed to the RAV4 EV software, due to the installed revision being higher than the Gateway would accommodate, and there is no provision for flashing older/backlevel firmware. If that's the case, your choices would be to locate a salvage inverter control board from a RAV4 EV, or do some hacking to see if the firmware's hardware can be swapped -- this kind of thing is done, but I've not heard of it being done on this specific board, and it requires a specific skillset.

The MB B250e version of the LDU has an additional PCB, that the Model S/X of the same era does not. I do not know if this is the case with our RAV4 EVs.

I expect that HV would not be active during a firmware update, but then I've never done one ;)

Perhaps alflash can contribute from his experience.

Please, if available, show a screenshot of the window with such Hardware Config data

It's strange that the Tesla system doesn't have GTW_f014 and/or GTW_ f054 codes...
It might be useful to look at UPDATE.log
Techstream software is practically USELESS in case of malfunctions of Tesla system.

Yes, indeed, after installing the TESLA-SX-ENGINE-MOTOR-CONTROL-MODULE-UNIT-New-1013416-00-A-REV03 purchased on eBay, the inverter was flashed (using v.1.1.42)

Hi Alflash, I believe you and I have been talking on Youtube a bit in the comments.
I can't find the menu for "Hardware configuration" Here is what my TPD looks like. Let me know what menu it is in or if I need to download TPD again or something. Thank you.

OK But now is the question. How do I get it to reprogram the drive unit? The DC-DC is not charging the battery when I try to push the on button 2 times. What is does is turns the contactors on then off again. So... Does it need the DC-DC running? Do I need a super strong and new 12v battery? Can I have a charger on the 12v battery to keep it full while doing this? There seems to be a reason it will not accept the " Firmware Download to Vehicle" Button and it just turns grey and sits there doing nothing when I click it.

The Toyota service manual specifies to always support the 12v system with their GR8 (00002-MCGR8) device while programming. It's a fancy battery charger, yes.

From T-SB-0043-13:

That particular TSB is very Techstream-centric, but it eventually has you fire up TPD anyway to do the actual flashing, so . . . it's still applicable.

Thank you. I did have a Battery charger on it. But maybe its not strong enough. I will Put something with more power on it and try again.

Show a screenshot of the Firmware downlod to Vehicle menu before starting this function. Those, does the program see firmware-release-1.3.101 file it needs?

Note.
Toyota recommends/insists that when reprogramming it is imperative that the voltage be at least 13.5 volts.

I have lots of Power supplies. I will get one hooked up that should keep it at 13.5

As for the program seeing the file it needs. Where do I download the file or does it come with the TPD software? How do I know if it sees the file?

This is what is looks like After I click the play button. And it looks the same before I click the play button except the play button is blue before I click it. So to be clear when I first open the Firmware Download to Vehicle screen. The play button is blue. Then when I click the play button it turns grey.

But I will say they 12v battery was slowly dropping to 12.7-12.5v with the 10a charger on it. So I will make sure I get a PSU to hold it at 13.5v.

Remember: TPD, when used legally, connects to Toyota for firmware files.

Your version may not be legal, and you have what you have. Or, you may need to pay Toyota USD$25 for a 48-hour subscription, in order to allow TPD to obtain files. IDK, I've never explored this, as I haven't had to flash any old modules, and there are no generic firmware updates for many years.

Is this screenshot BEFORE starting the procedure???

After. (Before has a Blue Play button) I will take a screenshot when I get home from work.
The program does not have access to the calibration file...
Take a look at 37 sec

Let me know if you need the RAV4EV Firmware file.

Note. Access to diagnostic programs and new calibration files is called "Professional" and costs $70.00

Update. You can see such screen on your laptop?

Update.
Using, for example, AnyDesk software, we can try to make a reflash in “four hands” and “four eyes” :)
This and firmware file "for free"
