Steering Wheel Leather? Cover is 'Peeling' anyone else?

So, just noticed the bottom south/west portion of the leather in my wheel is peeling off. Has anyone else had this issue yet? If it were a clock it would be the 6 to 9 area. It's not that bad., but if we are talking long term ownership I think it is an issue. Thoughts and ideas? I guess this is a non-covered wear and tare item for the warranty?

Yes, mine is too. I'd like a nice, quality, steering wheel like Audi has. Can they be wrapped in nice leather? Maybe add a heater? idk, I havent looked into it yet.

Mine is a 2022 with 17,000 miles and the same peeling problem. I am the only driver, they say its due to "hand sanitizer" which I don't use!!! call the 800 number 800-331-4331 and report it . Also go to NHTSA website and file a complaint. Not covered item?? $40,000 vehicle and the steering wheel is trash at 2 years...........................NO!
