    Wrecked my beloved RAV4EV tonight

State Farm sent me to a shop and the estimate is $5,600. Rear door trim was damaged, but door is okay. They didn’t notice it had dented the AC condenser, so that will drive up the cost some. Charges fine, drives fine. I’m guessing it knocked it out of alignment, too, but I’m not driving it...

    Wrecked my beloved RAV4EV tonight

Had an idiot in a merge lane try to cut in front of me and slammed into my side, then stopped abruptly in middle of highway and caused a 7-car pileup like an old scene from CHiPs. Tore up front right quarter panel, front bumper, rear bumper, and rear door. No airbag deployment. Lady behind us...

    plastic shield under motor loose

Had this happen and I just reconnected it with a bolt and nut from hardware store. Works fine. It's a little tricky to get up under there and get the bolt through, but you can do it.

ALL POSTS - 12-volt battery replacement

Anyone have issues with corrosion? I got in our RAV today and it was dead (3 yrs, 1 mo old). I popped the hood and the positive terminal was just a mountain of corrosion, and it had pretty much eaten away the copper. I got it off, but now I can't get the bolt off the copper part to separate...

MODIFIED TOYOTA RAV4 EV VS. PIKES PEAK

The quicker times could mean they altered one of the beta cars. I talked to one of the engineers who was driving a beta around Phoenix, and he said it wasn't governed like the ones for sale. But even if it's not one of the beta cars, they probably have access to tinker with software and make...

Rav4 EV / Mercedes B class EV Comparison

I saw a used B for sale, but couldn't figure out if it had the range extension enabled. Is there an easy way to tell?

tesla order change: no more dual chargers possible

I agree that dual chargers are overkill, unless you are operating your Tesla as a taxi and don't have access to a supercharger. I feel like 85kW batteries are overkill, too, unless you drive more than 120 miles/day. I'd love to see battery switching stations that could swap a 40kW battery for...

    Out of State service

Use Twitter. It's the fast lane to get results with almost any consumer problem. Make a few nasty Twitter comments to @toyotausa and see if that doesn't get results.

Anyone going to FormulaE Long Beach?

Although it would be tough to make it from Phoenix to Long Beach in my RAV, I'm trying to get a Tesla friend to go with me to Long Beach and take advantage of the Superchargers. I was excited to see that tickets will be free the race, so turnout should be great. Hope to run into some fellow...

RECALL: going into neutral / Speed Sensor failure

I'm scared to get any kind of update. I'm still running 2 1/2 yr old firmware, and if it ain't broke, I don't want to risk it.

Dealer in Tempe, AZ has used RAV4EV

Friend just texted this to me. If I didn't have a year left on my Volt lease I'd probably buy it. http://www.usedvwaudi.com/inventory/Used-2012-Toyota-Rav4-Ev/266417 This is the second one to come through this dealer, which is kinda crazy.

How many people have had zero problems with their Rav EV?

Nearly 30k miles now, still no issues. Added some fluid, but that's it.

Where are my ARIZONA buyers getting service?

Dcxplant, are you in Phoenix? I keep my eyes open, but I've only seen the used one that went up for sale in Tempe a while back and the beta car from the Toyota testing ground.

G48 Blue Coolant for Phoenix Owners

Assuming there's more than one of us, wanted to let everyone know that I have enough G48 for everyone in town and would be happy to share my bounty for free. Could only buy it by the gallon and now I have a lifetime supply. I'm in central Phoenix.
