My car is in the shop and the dealer is waiting on Tesla to ping the car. Normally, how long does it take for Tesla to ping the car? The dealer thinks that my charger has failed
 
Sounds like your dealer does not have a TECH STREAM which is necessary to update the Tesla computer in the back of the car, and quite possibly used to run diagnostic checks for trouble codes. Is your dealer located in CA?
 
The dealer has all the equipment they where waiting on Tesla to help diagnosis the problem
It turns out that Telsa and Toyota have been trying to fix the problem since Tuesday. They have tested the thermal ECU and charger, now they think it could be the pins
