Make sure the little dial for adjusting the instrument cluster panel brightness isn't set to maximum. One step below maximum is fine. When its set to maximum, it prevents the RAV4 EV from entering night mode.

My HOV stickers were denied! Just got the letter with a form for the dealer to correct the registration to say the motive power is "electric" instead of "gas". Sigh.

Regarding #4, it is confirmed that Tesla produces the drivetrain for the RAV4 EV. Apparently its the same as the motor in the Model S, just "detuned" for less horsepower and torque. You can see part of this by opening the rear door and looking behind the left side interior panel.

Pure speculation, but maybe the Model E (or whatever they're gonna call it) will be $35k for 20kwh, $45k for 30kwh, and $55k for 40kwh. 200 mile range in a smaller aerodynamic car implies 40kwh battery. If they are promising $35k (before tax credit) for 40kwh, that would be too good to be true!

Just got my California license plates and mailed out the HOV sticker application. For California RAV4 EV folks, where did you put your HOV stickers? The side stickers seem to be an easy decision, but how about the rear sticker? On the rear door below the RAV4 logo? Or on the actual bumper...

I took advantage of this last month. Out of pocket cost was just $186. A tip for Rav4 EV owners... ask them for the 25 ft cord (instead of the standard 18 ft cord). It resulted in an extra week delay for my contractor to get the charger, but definitely worth the wait to avoid having to back...

I know this goes against convention and physics but for some reason my guess-o-meter shows higher range since lowering the tire pressure from 45 psi down to 35 psi. Before it was showing high 80's/low 90's with climate on Eco High and now its showing mid to high 90's at same climate setting...

What tire pressure does everyone use? The sticker on the car says 32psi but for some reason my dealer inflated them all to 45psi (maybe for transport)? I have them at 35psi now.
