I'm interested as well. Would a deep discharge battery work better since there is no high current need? I use 6V AGMs for my solar. I may try a 12V AGM if I can get it to fit, but that may be over kill.

+1 I have both a Leaf and Rav4 EV. At over 3 years old my Leaf is often charged on-peak but the Rav4 almost never.

My 33 month old leaf has QC but only a range ~55mi (yesterday 100% charge 41 mile trip with 8 left on GOM). My Rav4 EV is good for ~130 miles with my driving style. Knowing where high current L2 are located would help decide which car is best for trips from San Diego to various parts of LA etc...
