There is nothing wrong to be mindful of finance.. If I have to give away my money to help the environment, hello, no thanks.. If I understand correct, the poster (eugeanpan, I believe) is trying to say that ( lease on RAV4 EV - gas savings ) should be less than or equal to lease cost on RAV4...

I am in east bay.. my city San Ramon charges by the value of project and in this case, it is approx. ~100.

I just got a call from a local electrician to install the free charging station. he is asking $300 to pull the permit (i think it includes the permit fee). can I avoid this? Can I have the permit pulled myself? Has anyone done that? appreciate your help.. thanks, Ku

Tony, how is it different from purchase, in which case you are putting 100% down? My understanding is - purchase or lease - insurance will pay the totaled car value; you keep the down payment and pay the rest to dealer.

Down payment does not matter.. Negotiate the price (capital cost for the lease) and work from there.. I leased 2013 silver Rav4EV from Hayward Toyota for $280+tax, 12000mi/year with 4k down.
